Concert presented July 25 by Christian band ‘Unlimited’

Unlimited, a contemporary Christian band from the Fulton area, will present an evening of praise and worship music Friday, July 25, at 7 pm. The performance is free and open to the public.

For this event, Unlimited consists of members of the Copps family: Chuck and Betsy and their children Kenny and Amanda, along with Doug DeBarth, Tracie Backenstross, and Carol Morrell. The group has been performing a wide range of music together for the past several years, ranging from original compositions to well-known traditional and cutting-edge contemporary Christian songs. They present a powerful and entertaining variety of original songs as well as popular selections from such artists as Robin Mark, David Crowder Band, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, and Paul Baloche.

“We are especially excited to be presenting several Robin Mark songs on July 25, because this date is close to the annual Kingdom Bound music festival at Darien Lake,” Chuck Copps said. “Robin Mark is one of the featured artists at Kingdom Bound each year, leading several worship services and conducting workshops. Several band members will be attending the festival, so for us, this concert is a preview of coming attractions!”

Members of the band are active in worship ministry at Fulton Believers’ Chapel. In addition, Chuck has been presenting concerts in local churches for more than ten years.

“Kenny and Amanda are talented musicians who play several instruments as well as sing,” Betsy Copps said. Ken is a sophomore at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, studying broadcast communications. He plays acoustic and electric guitar and electric bass. Amanda, who is a junior at Fulton’s G. Ray Bodley High School, plays violin and participates in the school’s chamber orchestra. She also plays electric bass and guitar.

Doug DeBarth has been the group’s regular percussionist since the band was formed in 2005. Tracie Backenstross and Carol Morrell provide their vocal talent to give the band a full sound with rich harmonies.

“Our lives are overflowing with musical gifts from God, and it is our privilege to use them to help bring people into the presence of the Lord,” Chuck Copps said. “We chose the name ‘Unlimited’ for our band from the book of 1Timothy, where it says in verse1, line 16:  ‘But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners,

Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.’”

Unlimited is available to play at coffee houses, retreats and special events. For more information, contact the Copps family at 315-806-3331 or 315-806-9815.
